Internet8 offers two
easy ways for members to check their email. For tips on using
these services, please scroll down to the bottom of this page.
- Outlook Express & other email clients
- The Internet8 web interface.
We recommend using standard email clients such as Outlook Express,
Microsoft Outlook, Thunderbird, Eudora, Netscape Mail, etc. They allow users
to:
- Send email, including attachments
- Read, reply and forward email
- Address Book
- Signature File
- Folders
But the biggest reason why we recommend using an
email client is because it will allow you to read and write email
while you are offline. With an email client you can write your messages
while offline, connect to the Internet, send the message, download
any new messages, disconnect from the Internet, and read your new
mail. This way, you can reduce how much time you stay online, and
your messages will stay there if you get disconnected.
To use Outlook Express or other email clients, click the
icon located on your Windows desktop. If you need help configuring
your email client, contact tech support.
The web-based email client is
there for your convenience if you happen to be using someone else's
computer or you are traveling and need to check your email.
Choose the one that best suits your needs. If you need assistance
with your email, please contact tech support... they'll be happy
to get you going.
